Does ear washing make a habit? Is there any harm in washing the ears ? Should ear sticks be used?

A deposit called earwax actually occurs as a result of the accumulation of normal ear discharge, which is necessary to keep the ear canal oily. Normally, this oily discharge is excreted from the external auditory canal without the need for any cleaning. But for some reason, such as a narrow channel, excessive hair growth, excessive secretion or infection, these discharges accumulate and can form a plug, preventing hearing. It can cause pain over time. The biggest reason for the formation of plugs recently is that people use cotton ear swabs for ear cleaning. This plug is removed by sucking with a tool under a microscope or with an aspirator. Ear irrigation (washing) is also another method. It is especially preferred for sensitive people and children. There is no scientific basis for the belief that more dirt will accumulate after washing or that it will create a habit.
