Chin Tip Aesthetics

Why is Chin Tip Aesthetics Performed?

When the facial structure is evaluated from the profile, it can be observed that there is a balance of Decency between the tip of the chin and the nose. The tip of the chin appears as an important element that balances the facial profile, just like the tip of the nose. The tip of the chin complements the facial profile, so the tip of the chin, as well as the nose, constitutes the key point in determining and balancing the facial profile.

The tip of the chin forms the lowest part of the face as the transition point between the face and the Decollete region. The chin tip structure, which has important effects on facial expression, has a very important place not only in terms of aesthetic appearance, but also in terms of oral health. In this regard, in cases where changes in the jaw tip structure are necessary both aesthetically and from a health point of view, jaw tip aesthetics are applied.

Chin tip aesthetics provides correction of both physical and visual disorders that may be caused by the chin area, which is smaller than normal or larger than normal.

Who is Chin Tip Aesthetics Performed For?

In the side profile view of the face, the fact that the chin is further back than the nose area constitutes one of the situations that require the application of chin aesthetics. In such cases, with the applications called profiloplasty, prosthesis can be placed on the tip of the chin during aesthetic nose surgery and the proportion of the chin and nose can be ensured with the procedures performed at the same time. With the profiloplasty procedure, the appearance of the jowl in the patient can also be corrected with the help of a prosthesis placed on the jaw.

We are able to list the situations in which chin tip aesthetic operations can be applied as follows;

  • In patients with normal closure of the mouth area and tooth alignment
  • In people who do not have bite defects
  • In people with dental arrangements where the lower and upper teeth do not create negative effects on each other
  • The development of all facial bones and jaw bones is completed around the age of 18. In this regard, maxillofacial aesthetic surgeries should be applied to people after the age of 18.

In Which Cases is Orthodontic Treatment Necessary Before Jaw Tip Aesthetics?

In case of problems in the jaw structure, especially in childhood, overlapping tooth structure or forward protrusion of teeth can be observed. This condition may progress in the child over time and may cause both orthodontic and aesthetic appearance disorders in the following processes.

In people who want to have jaw tip aesthetics, basically, the relationship of the lower and upper teeth with each other is discussed. In case there is no biting defect in the person, that is, when there are no problems in the relationship of the lower and upper teeth with each other, orthodontics (wire treatment) is not required before jaw tip aesthetics.

How is Chin Tip Aesthetics Performed?

With chin tip aesthetics, a significant improvement in the aesthetic appearance of the face can be achieved and a younger appearance and a more proportional facial profile can be created in the person.

  • It is performed by applying general or local anesthesia.
  • An incision is made from inside the mouth or under the jaw in such a way that there are no traces left after the operation.
  • The end of the Decapitation bone is reached through the incision made through the mouth and a pocket is formed between the bone and the soft tissue in this region. The necessary arrangement is made by placing the prosthesis in the created pocket area.
  • Jaw tip aesthetics can be performed by cutting the bone tissue located in the end region of the jaw appropriately, taking it forward and fixing it again. In addition, facial profile balance can be created by placing polyethylene bio-material or silicone jaw tip prosthesis without creating any bone incision.
  • In cases where the profile image of the chin tip is behind the nose tip, the chin tip can also be made desirable by applying a filling to the chin tip with a needle. Before this procedure, the filler to be applied is determined according to the characteristics of the person and by the evaluations made.

Chin tip aesthetics are applications that are performed quickly and easily and are performed with procedures that leave no trace. The patient can return to his daily life after a period of 3 to 7 days Dec.

Big Chin Tip or Long Chin Tip Aesthetics

The fact that the tip of the jaw is large or long compared to its normal balance may cause the formation of a longer and rough facial expression by disturbing the facial profile.

With the application of large or long chin tip aesthetics, a reduction can be performed at the tip of the chin. According to the evaluations made, according to the person; Operations such as removing excess bone or shifting the tip of the jaw backwards can be performed and the tip of the jaw can be restored to a balanced form with the facial structure.

Small Chin Tip Aesthetics

The fact that the tip of the jaw is smaller than the entire facial structure constitutes the most common deformity. The deformity formed by adding the arched nose structure to the small jaw tip structure may become more pronounced, and the sagging of soft tissues may occur more noticeably in the following processes, causing the formation of jowls.

In small jaw tip aesthetics applications, the jaw tip bone is cut and advanced forward. The jaw structure can be made harmonious and balanced to the face by cutting the jawline bone, moving it forward or placing various implants at the tip of the jaw. Enlarging the tip of the jaw also allows solving the jowl problem observed in the person.
